Cab Modifications
Oct. 5, 2007
I want 14 batteries ahead of the rear axle, 7 on each side of the driveline.
In order to do that the back of the cab had to be modified.

The bench seat is all of the way back.

The battery box is not built, but the passenger side park brake cable and bracket will interfere with the battery box.
So i moved it a little and built a park brake cable guide to keep the cable clear of the battery box.

I built some pieces to fill the holes in the sides of the cab out of a top of a 55 gallon grease barrel. I used a angle grinder with a metal cutting wheel.

When I went to install the panels, I found I had to correct the bottom bend that was the wrong direction of the flange.
Oct. 12, 2007
I welded the panel in with spot welds. 3/32" 6011 welding rod.

I sealed the welds with alumacoat roof coating. Red Neck undercoating, LOL.
