'Lament of TASCO Employee..............
Shooting down the flume
Oh, will it never end?
I sweeten my coffee
Then I break down and cry.
'Cuz I'll be makin' sugar
Till the day I die.
It's early in the morning
Now here comes the sun.
But it will be back dark again
Long before I'm done.
Oh, I'm makin' sugar
So life will be so sweet
But when my head hits the pillow
I only dream of beets.
Oh, I can't wait to get home
Sit down and have a beer
But my wife greets me at the door
And says, "Now listen here!"
"Use ajax and a scrub brush,"
"Clean up your act and don't you rush."
Well, I know I stink
Like something crawled from the earth.
But, I once worked for Lamb-Weston
So I know I could stink worse!
I'm still making sugar
Just passin' time.
But between my wife and taxes
I never get a lousy dime!
This was written on a paper towel and left in the factory lunch room.
Let credit go where it is due, :-)
