"The Human Race"

Imagine all human societies as runners in a gigantic marathon. The goal is to race from the cultural simplicity of the Stone Age to the ultimate in cultural achievement -- an ideal society enjoying technological mastery over nature.

Now, if all the runners begin at the same starting line at the same time and run the same course, their participation in the marathon will make it possible to judge their respective weaknesses and strengths. If the societies of any one genetic branch of mankind tends to lead the pack -- technologically speaking -- it will prove that branch of mankind has achieved a superior physical evolution.

Using this "marathon runner" analogy, 19 century evolutionists concluded that European man's highly technological societies were the "lead runners." Other societies were slower, and primitive tribes were the slowest of all. One 19th century evolutionist, a German philosopher named Friedrich Nietzsche, focused a great deal of his attention on the lead runner of the evolutionary marathon. He named the lead runner "superman." By the early 20 century, Nietzsche's superman ideal had influenced many Europeans and eventually became a foundational principle for the Nazi Party.

Evolution has likewise played a key role in the development of communism. While all evolutionists are certainly not Nazis or communists, it is important to remember that the key concepts of evolution, such as those described in the marathon runner analogy, have provided the philosophical justification for racism, genocide, abortion and a wide range of other tyrannies. Ideas have consequences, and the theory of evolution has influenced many people toward ugly behavior.

Tragically, the lies of evolution have infiltrated every part of our society, particularly the science and social studies curriculums in our public schools. Stand up for truth by challenging the status quo and critically examining the evidence. Go ahead, commit the unpardonable sin and question evolution.

My hope is that after a thoughtful analysis, your conclusion will be the same as many intelligent and honest scientists -- that a faith-based philosophy like evolution does not deserve the reverence given it.
